Hi All,

In Fedora 29, nmap has vanished.

From the nmap changelog....

* Mon Sep 10 2018 Pavel Zhukov <***@redhat.com> - 2:7.70-4
- Obsolete frontend packages in f29+ (#1626804)

* Fri Jul 13 2018 Fedora Release Engineering <***@fedoraproject.org>
- 2:7.70-3
- Rebuilt for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_29_Mass_Rebuild

* Thu Apr 19 2018 Pavel Zhukov <***@redhat.com> - 2:7.70-2
- Do not build zenmap and ndiff because of python2 deprecation

Has it been replaced with something else?

To answer my own question, zenmap's replacement in Fedora 29 is "umit"

# dnf install umit

That doesn't make sense to me. Zenmap is based on Umit. Umit is even older
than Zenmap.

Hi All,
Hello,
Post by ToddAndMargo via dev
In Fedora 29, nmap has vanished.
Fedora since version 30 is Python3 only distribution. Python 2 is going
to be EOL'ed soon. So some work is need to be done to port Zenmap to
python 3 https://github.com/nmap/nmap/issues/1176
So I've disabled zenmap build in Fedora to avoid problems with whole
nmap bundle.
